Good evening,
Some of you may have noticed things are changing, including the notice board may look a touch different these days.
That’s because I’ve been rearranging it, tidying here, burning there, replacing the old curled scraps with something less likely to crumble in your fingers. The messages now sit cleaner, sharper, and far less likely to give you splinters when you lean too close.
In other news, the gremlins have been “swimming.” They insist that’s what it was, though I maintain the correct term is attempted drowning, on my part, not theirs. Unfortunately, they remain as buoyant as their egos, and no amount of submersion seems to have dulled their enthusiasm or reduced their numbers.
We also had a Visitor from the Void, a traveler who braved that particular door behind the bar. Yes, that door. The one even the dust won’t cross. He brought stories the likes of which I’d not heard in some time, and left his calling card before vanishing back into the dark. You’ll find it pinned to the board now, should you wish to follow his voice into the black yourself.
Lastly, though I may occasionally vanish to calibrate the laboratory’s more temperamental instruments, rest assured, the Boer’s Head remains open. The fire still burns, the bread still steams, and something in the corner is still watching you.
